Hope has received vital funding to ensure Nottinghamshire’s only emergency hostel, Hope House, stays running throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
A £1,500 grant from The Morrisons Foundation has been awarded to help manage a coronavirus outbreak in Hope House. This critical funding will be spent on ensuring Hope can control the risk of infection when new clients come forward asking for a bed at the hostel.
Nottinghamshire County Council also awarded £5,000 funding to be spent on covering the cost of rising utility bills, cleaning products and PPE for the next 3 months.
Lucy Binch, CEO of Hope Community Services, said;
“We are really delighted to have been awarded these two generous grants that will help us continue to run Hope House and reduce the risk of a coronavirus outbreak.
“Being the only emergency hostel in Worksop still taking new homeless clients in and working with rough sleepers, it’s vital that we’re able to continue our work.”
